More of Ray...
Ray then went back to school to obtain a master's degree in Math Education, but unfortunately a few weeks later, a pivotal life-changing moment occurred when Ray’s father was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. As an immigrant from Vietnam with limited resources, Ray’s father worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Unfortunately, Ray’s father passed away 2.5 years later at the age of 60, never having the opportunity to witness his children's marriages or meet his grandchildren. This event served as a wake-up call for Ray, and he became determined to learn from his father's experiences and create passive income streams to spend more time with his loved ones.
To achieve his goals, Ray began tracking his income and expenses to hold himself accountable. He maximized his contributions to retirement accounts, automated his investments in index funds, deposited funds in high-yield savings accounts, and, most importantly, diversified his portfolio with real estate investments. In his short time in real estate, he has invested in joint ventures, private money lending, turnkeys, BRRRRs, commercial deals and a marina. Those experiences taught him that determination and resourcefulness are key to success, and that there is always a way forward.
